Who we are

This website and the classes described on it are run by NEXUS, an independent online tutoring service based in the City of San Fernando, Pampanga, Philippines. Classes are taught online, so there is no campus to visit.

We are the ones responsible for the information described on this page. Nobody else decides what happens to it.

For anything in this policy — including a request to see, correct or delete what we hold — contact us at contact@nexustutorials.com or +63 969 609 9632. These requests are handled by us directly, not passed to anyone else.

What we collect, and why

We only ask for what the site needs to run your account, deliver what you bought and teach the class. There are three sources.

When you create an account

We never see your card, wallet or bank details

Payment is handled by PayMongo, a licensed Philippine payment processor. When you pay, you scan a QR Ph code in your own GCash, Maya or bank app. No card number, account number or PIN is ever typed into this site, and there is nothing here that could collect one. PayMongo tells us that the payment succeeded, the amount, and a reference — that is all.

What we do not do

Worth saying explicitly:

We never sell or rent your details to anyone, for any purpose.
No marketing emails unless you ask for them. We email you about your own account and purchases and nothing else.
No account is needed for the diagnostic exam. You can sit the whole thing without giving us anything; an account only adds a saved result.
No plain-text passwords. Passwords are stored hashed, and Google sign-in never shows us your Google password.
No analytics suite. We do not use Google Analytics or anything like it.

We do use one advertising tracker, and it is described in full in the next section. An earlier version of this policy said we used none; that changed when we began advertising, and we would rather say so plainly than quietly reword it.

The Facebook pixel, and the cookies it sets

We advertise on Facebook and Instagram. To see whether those adverts actually bring anyone here, this site runs Meta's advertising pixel on every page. It sets cookies in your browser and tells Meta that a browser visited us.

What is sent to Meta:

That a page on this site was opened, and which page.
That a diagnostic set was opened, and that one was finished — with the score as a band (for example “60–79”), never the answers and never who sat it.
That the enrollment form was opened, and that one was submitted.
Your IP address and browser details, which any site you visit receives.

Your name, email, contact number and the class you chose are never sent to Meta. Those go only to the Google services listed further down. Meta receives the fact that a browser enrolled, not who enrolled.

Meta uses this to show our adverts to people who have visited us, and to find others who behave similarly. It also lets us count enrollments against what an advert cost.

How to stop it

Block third-party cookies in your browser, or use private browsing, and the pixel cannot follow you. Most browsers can block it outright, and ad blockers do so by default. You can also control how Meta uses your activity in Facebook's own Settings → Ads → Ad preferences. Nothing on this site stops working if you block it — the lessons, the diagnostic and the checkout all behave exactly the same.

The diagnostic exam and your results

You can sit the diagnostic exam without an account. The exam is scored inside your own browser, and your answers stay there: they are saved in that browser's local storage so a refresh does not lose your progress, and clearing your browser's site data deletes them permanently.

Logged in: the result is saved to your dashboard

If you are logged in when you finish, your score, percentage, time used and the six topic scores are saved to your account so you can see progress across retakes. Your individual answers are still never sent. Only you and we can see these results, and they are deleted with your account.

Not logged in: the score we receive is anonymous

When you submit a set without an account, four things are sent to us, and nothing else:

your score and percentage
how long you spent
how many you got right in each of the six topics

No name, no email and no identifier of any kind is attached. Two anonymous results from the same person cannot be linked, even by us. This exists so we can see which topics students find hardest and teach them better.

Practice sets work the same way: marked in your browser, and the score saved to your dashboard only if you are logged in.

Recordings, and why students are never in them

Live sessions are not recorded. No student is ever filmed, and no recording of a live class exists.

If a student misses a session, we send a pre-recorded video covering that topic. These videos are made separately by the teacher. No student appears in them, no student's voice is in them, and nothing from a live class is included.

Who else can see your information

We keep the list short on purpose. Each of these holds data because the service genuinely needs it, not because we sold access to anyone.

Who	What they hold, and why
PayMongo	Processes every payment. When you pay, PayMongo sees the amount, your name and email (so it can send a payment reference) and whatever your own wallet or bank shares with it. PayMongo's own privacy policy covers that side.
Google (sign-in)	Only if you use "Continue with Google": Google knows you signed in to this site and gives us your name, email and account ID. Anonymous diagnostic scores are also filed into a Google Form we own.
Google Fonts	The typefaces on this site load from Google's servers, which means your browser tells them your IP address. No other information is sent.
Google Meet	Classes are held on Google Meet, which is also a Google service. The student's name and email are shared with it so they can join the session.
Hostinger	Hosts this website. They can see standard server logs such as IP addresses of visitors.
Meta (Facebook and Instagram)	The advertising pixel on every page tells Meta that a browser visited us, which pages it opened, and whether it finished a diagnostic, created an account or started a checkout. No names, emails or contact numbers are sent. See “The Facebook pixel” above.

Students under 18

Most of our students are minors, and we treat that seriously. The enrollment form is completed by the parent or guardian, who gives consent on the student's behalf. We do not ask students to sign up on their own, and there are no accounts, logins or public profiles on this site.

A parent or guardian may ask at any time to see, correct or delete everything we hold about their child. We will not ask why.

One thing parents should know: the advertising pixel described above runs on every page and does not know how old the visitor is. If a student browses the lessons or sits the diagnostic on their own device, Meta receives that visit the same way it receives any other. It is not told their name, their score or that they are a student here — but it is told that the browser was here. Blocking third-party cookies on your child's device prevents this, and costs nothing: every part of this site works normally without it.

How long we keep it

Your account, results and access are kept for as long as the account exists. Ask us to delete it and it is gone within 15 working days, with everything attached to it.
Purchase records (what was bought, when, the amount and the payment reference) are kept for three years after the purchase, for receipts, accounting and any question that might come up about a payment — even if the account is deleted sooner. They are then removed.
Live class enrollment details follow the same three-year rule, counted from the end of the batch.
Login-attempt counters and server logs are kept for days, not years.

Your rights

Under the Philippine Data Privacy Act of 2012 (Republic Act No. 10173) you have the right to:

Be told what we hold about you and what we do with it — that is this page.
See a copy of your information.
Correct anything that is wrong.
Have it deleted, or object to us using it.
Complain to the National Privacy Commission if you think we have mishandled it.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle your information, we will update this page and change the date at the top. If the change is significant — a new service holding your data, or a new reason we use it — we will email account holders rather than quietly editing the page.
